Simona Rodano

Simona Rodano was born in Torino (Piemonte) Italy and is a is a multiple award-winning television, stage and film actress, songwriter and screenwriter, director, author, and business woman.

Coming from a family of musicians, she started singing at the age of 6 and working professionally in the entertainment world since she was 15 years old.

She completed her voice training at The International Music Academy of Milan, holds the Diploma of Acting from Centro Teatro Attivo (Milan) and a Master in Science from the University of Torino.

She has worked for over ten years on the Italian national network RAI television in the popular variety show “Ci vediamo in TV” hosted by Paolo Limiti. In theatre she played the role of Grace Farrel in the Italian adaptation of “Annie” and Elsa Shroeder in “The Sound of Music” directed by Saverio Marconi.

Simona has worked with the famous Italian band I Pooh in the first class production “Pinocchio, Il Grande Musical” ( Role: Angela) that turned out over 450.000 viewers in all the most prestigious italian theatres. She toured in South Korea where she won the final competition of Star King (Korean Idol).

Simona is the winner of the IBLA Grand Prize Award at Carnegie Hall, has received the AIAE ( Italian American Association of Educators) Award, the NY Mets Award, the Columbia Association of U.S. Customs Award as International Singing Sensation and she is Honorary Citizen of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Thousands of New York baseball fans have been charmed as they cheered Simona Rodano’s singing voice at Major League Baseball’s new Citi Field ( Italian Heritage Night), home of the NY Mets.

Simona is the founder of Incanto Productions, Corp. (www.incantoproductions.com) a Queens –based company specialized in bilingual ( Italian-English) teatrical and TV shows for children and families with over 70,000 patrons brought to the theatre in the last 5 years.

She is the creator of La Fata Italiana The Italian Fairy®, a specialized edutainment program for children to learn Italian through music (www.italianfairy.com)

The artist is currently touring with her one-woman show entitled “ITALIANA” and is the creator, author, director and producer of bilingual edumusicals touring in USA and Canada ( “Sempreverde”, “L’Italia e i Sette Mondi”, Caccia al Tesoro: Treasure Hunt” )
