Cinema Audio Society Announces 59th CAS Awards Nominees
The Cinema Audio Society announces its nominees in seven categories. Oscar-nominated production sound mixer Peter J. Devlin CAS (Black Panther, Wakanda Forever) will be lauded with the CAS Career Achievement Award. Alejandro González Iñárritu (BARDO, The Revenant, Birdman) will be honored as the 2023 CAS Filmmaker of the Year.

The critically acclaimed Brits Off Broadway festival, host to the UK's most innovative and provocative theater in New York City, returns for its ninth season of New York premieres of new British theater. 48th CAS Award Winners Announced
Hugo took home the most awards of the night. The Sound Mixing team of Production Mixer John Midgley, Re-Recording Mixer Tom Fleischman, CAS and Scoring Mixer Simon Rhodes at the 48th Annual Cinema Audio Society Awards. The family adventure won Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing for a Motion Picture, the evening's top honor. This is Midgley's first CAS Award. He was previously nominated for Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. It is the second CAS Award for Fleischman in this category having previously won for The Aviator. He also won a second consecutive CAS Award for Boardwalk Empire, earlier in the evening. This is Rhodes first CAS Award as this is the first year Scoring Mixers have been included in the Awards.
