Sidney Erik Wright is an NYC-based theater artist. As a choreographer, recent work ranges from music videos to a runway show for NYCouture Fashion Week. Notable choreography credits include Shrek at the Stephen Sondheim Center, Camelot at the John W. Engeman Theater, Matchmaker Matchmaker..I'm Willing to Settle! at Ars Nova, Are You There, Ann-Margret? It's Me!, Hair at Woodstock (dir/choreo), and assistant or associate director for five editions of Broadway Bares for BCEFA. SDC Observer to Susan V. Booth on the world premiere of Stephen King and John Mellencamp's Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. Sidney's work was profiled on season 5 of the reality webseries Dance(212). He is currently developing Romantic's Requiem, an original dance narrative. BA English Literature-Harvard University. Proud member of AEA, associate member of SDC. www.sidneyerik.com.

In honor of the tenth anniversary of Eric Garner's killing, Dartmouth has announced The Ritual of Breath Is the Rite to Resist is extending beyond the stage with a series of community activations in NYC in collaboration with 20+ civic partners united in resisting the ongoing theft of Black life at the hands of the state and uplifting the healing power of art and communal gathering.

The lab's culminating presentations are Monday and Tuesday Feb. 17th and 18th at 7:00pm at The Ailey Citigroup Theater, The Joan Weill Center for Dance (405 West 55th St. at 9th Ave.)

Lone Star Theatre Company has announced that Kat Lozano joins ANIMAL HUSBANDRY as lead producer. The London based, Texas born, actress joins a team of producers that include producer Elda Ruiz-Dawson and associate producers Ramiro & Lupita Davila, Charles Barksdale, and Luis Ochoa-Andrade. David Davila's Animal Husbandry will premiere at the Under St. Mark's Theatre as part of the New York International Fringe Festival this October 2019 with direction by Sidney Erik Wright and intimacy choreography by Adele Rylands. The play stars David Michael Kirby and Daniel Anthony Hidalgo with lighting design by Hao Bai and costume design by Keyon Woods.
