Frist Art Museum And Cheekwood Garden's Present Concurrent Exhibitions Of Work By Diana Al-Hadid
The Frist Art Museum and Cheekwood Estate & Gardens present Diana Al-Hadid: Sublimations, concurrent exhibitions of sculptures and wall reliefs by the Syrian American artist, on view in the Frist's Gordon Contemporary Artists Project Gallery from May 24 through September 2, 2019, and outdoors at Cheekwood from May 24 through September 1, 2019. Influenced by a wide range of sources, including art, history, and literature of both Western and Eastern traditions, Islamic calligraphy, ancient architecture, and cartography, Al-Hadid creates impressionistic meditations on ruination and renewal.
Diana Al-Hadid's Delirious Matter Is Now Officially Open In Madison Square Park
Madison Square Park Conservancy announces its thirty-sixth exhibition, Delirious Matter by artist Diana Al-Hadid. Six new sculptures are installed across Madison Square Park's central Oval Lawn, peripheral lawns, and northern reflecting pool. Delirious Matter is the artist's first major public art project. It's on view from May 14, 2018- September 3, 2018.
Mad. Sq. Art Announces Partnership With Artist Josiah McElheny's Prismatic Park
Prominent, innovative choreographers, dancers, musicians and poets including musicians Limpe Fuchs and Lea Bertucci, choreographers Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener, and poets Joshua Bennett and Monica de la Torre will be in residence as an integral part of Josiah McElheny's outdoor public art project, Prismatic Park, in Madison Square Park from June 13, 2017 through October 8, 2017.
