Shirley Ritenour Returns to Manhattan Cabaret with AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER

Shirley Ritenour returns to the New York cabaret scene this fall with a new show, An Affair to Remember. The October 19th and October 26th performances at Don't Tell Mama will benefit Gilda's Club, NYC and Stony Brook Cancer Research Center through Concerned Women of the Grove. Ritenour will sing a Great American Songbook and pop repertoire, including music from Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen, David Friedman, Sammy Cahn and Judy Collins to name a few, along with a sweet tribute to Debbie Reynolds. People who know Ritenour from her operatic roles won't be left out she will perform an aria as well. The show is directed by Scott Barnes with Musical Director, Brian Holman. Shows are at 7pm. Sunday Cabaret to Return to the Newman Theater in Palm Desert with Shirley Ritenour, 4/6

The acclaimed Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series at the Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert will be back for it's fifth season beginning Sunday, April 6th. With more than 125 shows so far, series producer Les Michaels of Life Is A Cabaret, says, "the audience praises and support grows every year with record-breaking ticket sales", jokingly adding, "Of the 60 plus performers wanting dates, all 29 spots were taken in only 12 hours from the time they were announced - so I guess we're doing something right".

Soprano Shirley Ritenour Tributes Late Diva Eileen Farrell at Merkin Hall, 12/5

Dramatic Soprano Shirley Ritenour will make her Merkin Concert Hall debut on December 5, 2010 in: 'Let My Song Fill Your Heart -Inspired by Eileen Farrell'. Broadway composer/director Barry Kleinbort directs Ms. Ritenour, and also contributes the premiere of 'The Dream is Done,' with music by Robert Farnon (the instrumental is known as 'Song For Eileen').
