The 14th Street Y honored the Union Square Partnership and its Executive Director, Jennifer Falk, as the recipient of the 14th Street Y Community Builder Award.

On Thursday, March 1, 2018 beginning at 6pm, the 14th Street Y will host its 2018 PURIM Gala. The 14th Street Y will honor founding Board Member and philanthropist Harvey Schulweis. The 14th Street Y is a vibrant community center grounded in the belief that contemporary Jewish sensibilities can be a source of inspiration, connection, and learning for the individuals and families we serve throughout New York City's East Village and beyond. The Gala will be held at Cipriani, 25 Broadway, NYC, with Cocktails at 6pm and Dinner & Entertainment at 7pm. Festive attire and masks are encouraged. Downtown Jewish Life and the 14th Street Y present PAUSE/PLAY, an innovative Saturday afternoon of Shabbat programming at the 14th Street Y, 344 E. 14th Street, NYC. PAUSE/PLAY invites attendees to hit the pause button in their busy lives and experience all that the Downtown Community has to offer. All are welcome in the community, Jewish or not, to join for a day of relaxation and renewal. From family yoga and story time to whiskey tastings and open swim, PAUSE/PLAY events feature activities for the whole family. PAUSE/PLAY will also feature a Community Passport that families can decorate each month and bring to each event for access to monthly raffles for deals to 14Y programs and other great prizes.

14th Street Y offers a free Fall Fitness Flights Open House on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 9am to 4pm. Experience the best that 14th Street Y Membership has to offer with a fun filled day of special classes and clinics (Zumba, Yoga, HIIT, Hip Hop, Boxing, Perfect Your Push-ups and Squats), Juggling Demo with NY Lyric Circus, Open Basketball Run in our gymnasium, food and beverages (coffee, bagels, and mimosas) from neighborhood partners, and raffles to win fantastic prizes including free childcare cards, personal training sessions, Visa Gift cards and more. Members who bring a friend will be entered to win a raffle item and receive one month's free membership if the friend joins. New members receive $99 off when joining by 10/15. Childcare hours extended until 4pm on the day of the event. Event is free for members and non-members.

Downtown Jewish Life presents INTO THE NIGHT: a contemporary spin on Tikkun Leil Shavuot, hosted by The 14th Street Y on Saturday June 11, 2016, from 7:30pm onward (into the night) at 344 East 14th Street, New York City. More than 20 downtown community partners will join in the third-annual night-time journey through conversation, culture, and ritual.
