We consider it paramount that we continue to be a leader in programming for our community, and continue to support and maintain valued connections with those hungering for artistic content and continued personal growth. We are happy to announce additional free online programs, rescheduled dates for our valued summer Shakespeare classes, and a fundraising campaign, all part of The Old Globe's ongoing commitment to serve the public good by providing programs that make theatre matter to more people.

The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds was the brainchild of a public school science teacher turned playwright, Paul Zindel. The work won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, and the Obie Award for best American play. Generations of audiences are familiar with the film version from 1972, which was directed by Paul Newman and starred his wife, Joanne Woodward and their daughter, Nell Potts. Cygnet's production is directed by Rob Lutfy and runs August 30th through September 24th.

Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival proudly announces new partnerships with beloved Berkshire-based businesses No. Six Depot Café and Roastery of West Stockbridge, MA and Haven Cafe & Bakery of Lenox, MA. Both local establishments will have locations on the Jacob's Pillow grounds and will be open throughout the Festival 2016 season, June 22-August 28. The businesses will bring three new dining offerings to the Pillow—Haven at The Pillow, No. Six Depot Café, and No. Six Depot Snack and Coffee Bar.
The Old Globe's 2015 Summer Shakespeare Intensive Comes to a Close with LOVE'S LABOR'S LOST and THE TEMPEST

Each year, a select group of talented high school students participate in the Summer Shakespeare Intensive. This four-week program, which guides students through workshops and rehearsals, will culminate with a public performance of two, one-hour versions of Shakespeare's plays, Love's Labor's Lost, directed by Ray Chambers, and The Tempest, directed by Vivia Font, on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, on Monday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m.
