BIO

Sheldon Best is an award-winning actor and arts educator born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from Brandeis University he returned to New York City, where he began to work with many off-Broadway theaters including playing lead roles at Manhattan Theatre Club, The Public, Lincoln Center/LCT3, Classical Theatre of Harlem, and The Atlantic. Best has also been seen around the country in many regional theaters including the Denver Center, Baltimore Center Stage, and Cleveland Play House.



Most recently, Best has begun to work in television and film. He can currently be seen on NBC's new supernatural thriller, "Manifest" as the stowaway aboard Flight 828, Thomas. He also appears in the film, Ghost Light, which premiered in September at the LA Film Festival, starring Cary Elwes, Carol Kane, Shannyn Sossamon, Tom Riley, Danielle Campbell, Scott Adsit, Roger Bart, and Steve Tom, among others. Best has also appeared on "The Good Wife," "Unforgettable," and "Person of Interest," where he worked with Christine Baranski, Archie Panjabi, Mike Colter, Jim Caviezel, and Malik Yoba.

Sheldon Best's onstage and onscreen career has given him the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from great actors, writers, and directors. The projects to come will lead to more of the same as his career continues to ascend.
