Family feuds and miscommunication lead to street fighting, the death of trusted kinsman's, banishment and finally the suicide of both Romeo and Juliet.

Shannon Michael Wamser, Kieran Mulcare & Zoe Farmingdale to Lead RED LIGHT WINTER at Playhouse on Park, 9/19-22
As a prelude to the upcoming Mainstage season, Playhouse on Park is proud to present Red Light Winter by Adam Rapp. The story revolves around two college friends on a trip to Amsterdam. There they are entangled in a love triangle with a young prostitute, and return home to face a much darker truth. Described in The Guardian as 'unflinching, intense, and bleakly hilarious', this 2006 Pulitzer Prize finalist is the first show of the brand new Playhouse on the Edge series. This series will present new and provocative contemporary plays to challenge and enhance the experiences of the Hartford area audience.
