The Colorado Theatre Guild's 14th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, located at 10075 Commons St. Lone Tree, CO 80124. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a catered reception at the Lone Tree Arts Center. Arvada Center Awarded CTG Henry For Outstanding Theatre Season
Arvada Center productions, directors, actors, and designers were recognized on July 23 at the Colorado Theatre Guild's 13th annual Henry Awards. The Arvada Center won or tied for eight of the 29 nominations it received, including three awards for Sense and Sensibility, directed by Lynne Collins. The 29 nominations were also the most nominations netted by a Colorado theatre in the history of the awards. The Center received the evening's highest honor - Outstanding Season for a Theatre Company - for the first time since 2012. After hearing that very line for years, you would think I would have picked up a copy or have listened to A Chorus Line by now. As silly as this sounds I didn't. However I am very thrilled to say that I was happy to have my first experience with this musical be at the Arvada's Center For Performing Art's on it's opening night Tuesday Evening.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will finish its 2016 - 2017 Black Box season with Waiting for Godot, directed by Geoffrey Kent, opening Friday, April 21, 2017. Waiting for Godot was written by Samuel Beckett, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1969. The play is perhaps the most iconic tragicomedy on the stage and has been described as the most significant English language play of the 20th century.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will continue its 2016 - 2017 Black Box season with Bus Stop, directed by Allison Watrous, opening Friday, February 24, 2017. Bus Stop is written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright William Inge, known for his portraits of small-town life in America's heartland. A drama infused with comedy and honesty, the play was nominated for four Tony Awards when it opened in 1955.
