Paul Williams and legendary songwriters and producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis lauded Matthews’s achievements and hit songwriter MoZella performed “Wrecking Ball” (all are ASCAP members). Video tributes to Matthews featured music industry giants Stephen Schwartz, NE-YO, Marcus Miller, Desmond Child, John Platt and Ashley Gorley among many others.

The Gatlinburg Songwriters Festival will take place in downtown Gatlinburg and the surrounding area from August 18th-21st. Nestled in the heart of The Great Smoky Mountains, the highly-anticipated and prestigious three-day conference and live music event will feature nightly shows, showcasing an array of musical talent spanning multiple genres with more than 25 #1 hit songwriters and 60 selected songwriters.

MCP Returns To The Graveyard With CONTINUING TALES FROM SPOON RIVER
The script for the show is adapted from the Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters. In his anthology, Masters imagines what the dead of Spoon River might say, if only they could speak. MCP's adaptation of Master's anthology pieces together some of these tales from beyond in an intriguing stroll through the cemetery of Spoon River.

The Monmouth Community Players, along with marquis sponsor the Monmouth Federal Credit Union, are excited to announce the cast of the first show of their 28th season, Agatha Christie's THE MOUSETRAP. The show is being directed by Danny Gay of Monmouth and assistant directed by David Marshall of Monmouth. Perhaps because the two characters' verbal and emotional interactions with each other so honestly reflect exactly what goes on in my own relationship that I felt completely drawn in, often nodding with the realization that often two such differing outlooks on life cannot possibly find a central meeting ground that works for both people. And yet, we keep trying.
