In its 16th year, 501 (c)(3) Angel City Arts presents the Angel City Jazz Festival October 13 – 29, 2023, at diverse and popular venues such as REDCAT (Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater), 2220 Arts & Archives, LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art), The Moss Theatre, Zebulon, Zipper Hall and The World Stage. RED ROCKS 8 O' CLOCK HOWL to Open 80th Anniversary Season
Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre will open its 80th Anniversary season April 21, not with one of the venue’s usual platinum-selling headliners, but with a roster of acts that have performed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic for those in nursing homes, intensive care units, churches or front yards.
Jimmy Chamberlin Complex Announce New LP, Share Single 'Humility'
Jimmy Chamberlin Complex announce new album Honor, due out September 25th via Make Records. Legendary Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin teams up with bassist/producer Billy Mohler and guitarist Sean Wollstenhulme for Honor, while also featuring Frank Catalano and Kneebody members Adam Benjamin, Ben Wendell and Shane Endsley.
Billy Mohler to Perform at The Grammys, Releases Debut Album FOCUS
Bassist/Composer Billy Mohler returns his Focus to jazz after a successful career in rock, pop and R&B production and songwriting. Mohler's leader debut Focus is due out this March via Make Records, featuring a stellar chordless quartet with Shane Endsleyand Nate Wood of Kneebody and Chris Speed of a MULTITUDE of ensembles.
Pete Sinjin to Perform Family Friendly Concert at Bell House, 11/8
Pete Sinjin will be celebrating his new family album, House of Song, with a full band performance and party on Sunday, November 8th at The Bell House (149 7th St, Brooklyn). 'Hootenanny Pete' is a beloved Brooklyn treasure, especially to the littlest Brooklynites and their parents. He and his wife Kira opened the Hootenanny Art House in 2007, instilling a love for music in thousands of children in the community. The community they've built through song, supported the making of House of Song by supporting Pete and Kira's Kickstarter campaign which included homemade, hand-delivered chocolate cookies in addition to music. In 13 days the project made 150% of its goal and the album release celebration attracted more than 400 people.
