BIO

SEVAN is an award-winning London and NYC-based playwright-actor.
As a writer his work has been seen in London and New York at The Public Theatre, New
York Theatre Workshop, The Flea Theatre, The Sheen Center, The Bush Theatre, Theatre
Royal Stratford East, Theatre503, Rich Mix, The Old Red Lion, The Space, and Access
Theatre.
He was a member of the Bush Theatre inaugural 2015 Emerging Writers Group; The Public
Theater 2011 Emerging Writers Group; NYTW Usual Suspect; Rising Circle Theatre
Collective 2010 InkTANK Writer's Lab. NYTW 2011/2012 Teaching Artist. 2017 O'Neill

National Playwrights Conference Finalist. 2014/2015/2016 Princess Grace Award Semi-

Submissions Now Open For Live & In Color's 2024 Season

Live & In Color is accepting submissions for their 2024 Fall retreat at the Bingham Camp. Playwrights, composers, and lyricists of color and underrepresented communities can submit their new musicals with a 4-actor cast limit. Selected submissions will receive a $1,000 stipend, housing, meals, and travel.

St. Ann's Warehouse, responding to extraordinary demand for tickets, has announced a three-week extension of Monsoon Wedding, the Musical, Mira Nair's live theatrical adaptation of her landmark film. The new production, featuring actors and theater-makers from India and the global Indian diaspora, welcomes audiences inside the lavish wedding plans and frenzied leadup to an arranged marriage beset by modern tensions. Preview performances begin at the Brooklyn waterfront theater on May 6.

The event has so far raised over $2,600 for the Jewish Fund for Abortion Access. The Green Room 42 presents Ruth Sent Us: A Benefit For Reproductive Justice on October 11th at 7:00 PM. Ilana Levine, known for her acclaimed podcast Little Known Facts, will host. Levine joins the previously announced Emmy winner Mauricio Martinez, Grammy nominees Austin Ku and Kendyl Ito, Jeff Award winner Andrea Prestinario, Emmy nominee David Dabbon, and Marina Pires and Luke Wygodny of The Heartstrings Project (Grammy consideration).

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents an evening of British composer & lyricist Eamonn O'Dwyer's moving, funny and bittersweet songs.  A multi-award-winning writer, Eamonn's work was last heard in New York at the 33rd Annual Festival of New Musicals in 2021, where his outrageous Fanny & Stella was performed by a host of Broadway stars including Judy Kuhn, Heath Saunders, and Mason Alexander Park, directed by Stephen Brackett.
