Arvada Center Closes the 2016-2017 Black Box Season with WAITING FOR GODOT

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will finish its 2016 - 2017 Black Box season with Waiting for Godot, directed by Geoffrey Kent, opening Friday, April 21, 2017. Waiting for Godot was written by Samuel Beckett, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1969. The play is perhaps the most iconic tragicomedy on the stage and has been described as the most significant English language play of the 20th century.

BUS STOP Opens the Arvada Center Spring Repertory Season

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will continue its 2016 - 2017 Black Box season with Bus Stop, directed by Allison Watrous, opening Friday, February 24, 2017. Bus Stop is written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright William Inge, known for his portraits of small-town life in America's heartland. A drama infused with comedy and honesty, the play was nominated for four Tony Awards when it opened in 1955. 
Denver Children's Theatre to Present ART DOG, 3/13

Denver Children's Theatre presents ART DOG, opening on Sunday, March 13th at 1 p.m. This professionally staged production will be presented to the public on Sundays through May 1st and to school groups most weekdays March 11th through May 6th at 10 a.m. The show is presented in the Elaine Wolf Theatre at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center located at 350 S. Dahlia Street in Denver and is recommended for preschool through 5th grade.
CHARLOTTE'S WEB Opens This Week at Arvada Center

On Thursday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m., the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities opens the children's theatre production Charlotte's Web based on the book by E. B. White and adapted by Joseph Robinette. Charlotte's Web, directed by Edith Weiss will run October 15 - December 30, 2015. Performances are 10:00 a.m. and noon, most Tuesdays through Fridays, and some Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Ticket prices range from $9 weekdays and $12 weekends and holidays for reserved seating. Charlotte's Web will be Audio Described and Shadow Interpreted for the sight or hearing impaired on November 3 and 5 at 10:00 a.m. and noon. Shadow-interpreted theatre utilizes specially trained American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to perform as 'shadows' on stage alongside actors. The Colorado Theatre Guild Announces Nominees for the Upcoming Henry Awards

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 9th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd in Arvada, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction. The awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party. Curious Theatre Company presents Matthew Lopez's The Whipping Man, directed by Associate Artistic Director Kate Folkins and Producing Artistic Director Chip Walton.
