THE DJANGO, downtown Manhattan’s premier jazz club, is celebrating the next generation of jazz with a special concert series this month. During the month of May, The Django welcomes rising stars as part of its new Next Gen Series.

Fathom Five Productions presents a Staging of AVALON at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe
???????Fathom Five Productions is presenting a staging of a new orginal play entitled Avalon at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe beginning August 5th and starring Sean Cronin as King Arthur and Michele Martin as actress Natalie Wood. The play imagines that Wood, who drowned near Catalina Island in 1981, finds herself on the doorstep of Arthur who stories tell us was taken to the island after a battle to recover from his wounds and await a return to the throne.

The New York Hot Jazz Camp returns for its second year May 15th-21st, 2017 (18+). Building on last year's success they have an announced an addition of a youth camp April 10th-14th, 2017 (13-17 yrs) during NYC public schools' spring break.

Each concert is at 2:00 pm. Concerts include complimentary red beans n' rice (Louis's favorite recipe) & sweet tea. Ms. Skonberg's show, Brass and Belles, is a tribute to the historic horn and female vocal pairings of greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Anita O'Day and Roy Eldridge, and more. She is joined by Dalton Ridenhour at the piano, Darrian Douglas on drums, and Sean Cronin on upright bass and vocals. Check out photos from her concert below!
