BIO

Born in California and raised in Hawaii, Florida, and New Jersey with his Military family, Mr. Striegel moved to New York City and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
He lived in NYC for 13 years and worked extensively in new play and musical development while supporting himself as a box office treasurer for Off-Broadway theatre.
He splits his time between Los Angeles and San Diego, California.

Diversionary Pays Tribute to Harvey Milk with Dear Harvey April 18-25

It was 1973 and Harvey Milk was giving a speech to the International Longshoreman & Warehousemen's Union of San Francisco, 'We don't have to wait for budgets to be passed, surveys to be made, political wheeling and dealing. For it takes no compromising to give people their rights? it takes no money to respect the individual. It takes no political deal to give people freedom.' After three failed campaigns, Harvey finally won a seat on the Board of Supervisors in January 1978. Eleven months later he was assassinated in City Hall.
FACING EAST Comes To Diversionary Theatre 3/19-4/5

Diversionary Theatre's fifth production of the 2008-2009 season is the parable Facing East by noted LDS (Latter Day Saints) author Carol Lynn Pearson. A Mormon couple confronts the limits of their spiritual teachings upon the suicide of their gay son. The Salt Lake Tribune wrote of the play, which premiered at Plan-B Theatre Company in Salt Lake City in November 2006, 'A tightly-wound domestic tragedy...freshly relevant...dares to ask important questions about faith, death and survival.' In 2007, Variety said of Plan-B's tour (Off-Off Broadway and San Francisco), 'A vivid rumination on grief.'

Playwright Carol Lynn Pearson to Do talkback March 22 after Facing East performance at Diversionary

Noted LDS (Latter Day Saints) author Carol Lynn Pearson will visit Diversionary Theatre during opening weekend of her play Facing East. Carol Lynn will do a talkback after the Sunday, March 22 matinee (2pm performance).
