Review: ON BROADWAY at Smothers Theatre
by Amanda Callas - Oct 14, 2023
With a fresh lineup of new musical tunes and favorite classics, it’s pretty much the perfect Broadway concert show. I’m still humming “Popular” from Wicked and “Razzle Dazzle” from Chicago nonstop, floating in a giddy haze of joy-soaked musical elation.
Review: THE WIZARD OF OZ Drops Into Musical Theatre West in Long Beach
by Michael Quintos - Jul 14, 2023
Delightfully charming but also now slightly dated, MTW's expectedly family-friendly, colorfully saturated production is indeed a lovely, mostly entertaining stage recreation of the movie classic. by Nicole Rosky - Dec 10, 2020
On December 11, Broadway Records will release LEGACY, a collection of two previously unheard song cycles by the award-winning composing duo Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. One of the song cycles, A BOY WITH A CAMERA, was inspired by photographs taken in the 40’s and 50’s by Ahrens’s father, and is a celebration of New York City itself. This piece was recorded in November 2004 with Sarah Uriarte Berry and Steven Pasquale, with Steve Marzullo at the piano. Listen below as we give you a sneak peek of 'Rising City' performed by Pasquale.
