BIO

Sarah Sun Park was born & raised in South Florida, the daughter of Korean immigrant parents. She earned her BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch, and her MFA in Drama from Florida Atlantic University. Sarah believes in the power of storytelling to inspire, change, and impact souls. Theater credits include the world premiere of Michael Weller's play A Welcome Guest, North Carolina Theatre's production of Mamma Mia! & Hair with Berkshire Theatre Group. Film credits include Slammed Shutt, Beanie Babies & Final Episodes.

Patriarchy Run Rampant: A WELCOME GUEST at Contemporary American Theater Festival

Then the government, represented by its functionary Lucius (Michael Rogers), brings in Shimeus (Wade McCollum), a derelict of another sort, whimpering and traumatized by an arson that killed everyone else in his family. Lucius orders the Browns to harbor Shimeus as a guest. Almost immediately, however, Shimeus stops whimpering, and, more importantly, stops behaving like a guest, and more like an invader - well maybe not a declared invader but a lot like a space alien whose intentions toward neighbors aren't entirely clear but don't seem encouraging, a la the plant in Little Shop of Horrors.
CATF Welcomes The 2019 Company

With a picnic hosted by the Board of Trustees, the Contemporary American Theater Festival at Shepherd University welcomes 2019 company members. Attended by CATF partners, donors, and community members, this annual event is the first time CATF's 2019 company comes to celebrate the six new plays they are about to create. These artists, from around the country, including cities such as New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, gather in historic Shepherdstown to create the future of American theater.
Lisa Howard Leads NYC Industry Reading Of HANSEL & GRETL & HEIDI & GUNTER

The new musical Hansel & Gretl & Heidi & Gunter, which will have its West Coast premiere at Village Theatre outside of Seattle in 2020, will receive an industry reading co-directed by Tony Award-winner Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza) and Jerry Dixon (If/Then) on May 3, 2019 at 3PM.
