Sarah Sokolovic is an American actress known for her work on stage, television, and film. She was born on June 16, 1980, in Long Island, New York, and grew up in nearby Ronkonkoma. Sokolovic attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and later earned a BFA in acting from SUNY Purchase.
Sokolovic made her Broadway debut in 2013 in the play "The Shaggs: Philosophy of the World," which tells the true story of three sisters from New Hampshire who form a band at the urging of their father. Sokolovic played the role of Dot, the eldest sister who is both the band's manager and its harshest critic. The play received mixed reviews, but Sokolovic's performance was widely praised. She was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play for her work in the production.
In 2014, Sokolovic appeared in the off-Broadway play "Detroit," which tells the story of two couples whose lives intersect in a suburb of Detroit.
