Samuel French has announced a new monologue publication in partnership with the August Wilson Estate: DANGEROUS MUSIC: THE AMERICAN CENTURY CYCLE MONOLOGUES. The monologue compilation book was announced last night at the annual August Wilson Monologue Competition, which is produced by True Colors Theatre Company and Jujamcyn Theaters. The Idea Fund Announces Round 9 2017 Grant Recipients
The Idea Fund is proud to announce the Round Nine (2017) grant recipients: Nick Barbee; WAKE (Lauren Eddy, Jorja Montgomery, Grant Loomis, Lisa Gulesserian, Julian Jimenez, Dan Schmahl, and Michael Stuart Allison); Reuben Levi; Outspoken (Emanuelee) Bean; Hannah Bonner; Sara Balabanlilar and Sarah Rodriguez; Mary Forbes and ChelbyKing; EQ Collective (Jessica Fuquay, Anna Garza, Miriam Hamkin, Mary Walenta, and Muna Javaid); Felipe Steinberg; and Eric Pearce. Additionally, Felicia Johnson and Delilah M. Montoya will receive Research & Development Funds of $1,000 each to further expand their projects.
Luna Negra Dance Theater Begins Search For New Artistic Director
Luna Negra Dance Theater, a Chicago-based dance company that serves as a springboard for Latino contemporary choreographers, will launch an international search for a new Artistic Director to succeed Founding Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro, who today accepted the position of Artistic Director of Ballet Hispanico in New York City, effective August 1, 2009.
