The Comrades are pleased to present their fall 2017 production, BOB: A LIFE IN FIVE ACTS by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, which is co-directed by Will Quam and Derek Bertelsen. The show will play the Apollo Studio Theater (2540 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago) from October 29 through November 21, 2017. Press opening is Tuesday, October 31 at 7:30pm. The Runaways Lab and Voice of the City are proud to announce the second offering of their 2016-2017 season, Goddamn Geniuses. This original play, by company member Nathaniel Shane and Artistic Director Gannon Reedy, uses one of the Runaways' staples of reimagining an historic event in a fast and loose piece of theater. Explore the limitations of live entertainment as the heralds of quantum physics launch into a gender blurred reality where anything can happen to a docile scientist.
Pegasus' Young Playwrights Festival Begins Next Month at Chicago Dramatists
Pegasus Theatre Chicago (Pegasus) shines the spotlight on emerging authors with the 28th annual Young Playwrights Festival, an annual professional production of next-generation, one-act plays penned by Chicago teens, Jan. 5 through 31. The 2015 Festival, at the new location of Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave., explores the theme of 'something wicked interferes' through four one-act premieres. Previews are Jan. 1 - 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 4 at 3 p.m. Press and opening of Young Playwrights Festival is Monday, Jan. 5 at 7:00 p.m. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 8 through 31.Tickets range from $18 to $30 and are available at www.PegasusTheatreChicago.org or the box office at 773-878-8864.
