The Dallas Opera presents The Everest Trio, culminating in a semi-staged performance of Joby Talbot and Gene Scheer's critically acclaimed 2015 masterpiece,Everest, on the stage of the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. This one-time-only performance on Friday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. will be conducted by Dallas Opera Music Director Emmanuel Villaume and directed by Leonard Foglia, who staged the earlier world premiere.

Cleveland POPS Orchestra Offers LA MUSICA D'ITALIA, 3/27
Cleveland, Ohio, February 17, 2015 --The Cleveland POPS Orchestra with conductor Carl Topilow will present “ La Musica D'Italia,” on Friday, March 27, 2015. The concert will take place at 8:00 p.m. in Severance Hall. The performance is a celebration of Italy's musical legacy to the world. Cleveland POPS will explore Italy's strong influence on all styles of music, dating back to the invention of opera, the symphony and Italian music traditions, reaching from pre-history to the present and including a wide variety of forms, from traditional folk music to the classics, opera, rock, pop, and musical theater.
Maestro Topilow has selected a program of popular and beloved Italian favorites that everyone will know, from Italian operas, movie themes, Neapolitan ballads, folksongs, popular songs, and Broadway shows.
The concert will feature the Cleveland POPS Orchestra with its charismatic leader Carl Topilow, the Cleveland POPS Chorus with its talented director William Zurkey, along with acclaimed soprano Sarah Jane McMahon and the in-demand young tenor Ryan McPherson.
