Actor Bosco Hogan Appointed To The Board Of The Abbey Theatre

At a meeting of the Abbey Theatre's Board of Directors on 5 June 2018, actor Bosco Hogan was appointed to the Board of the Abbey Theatre for a term of three years. Bosco was appointed to the Board on a recommendation from the Selection Committee [Dr. Frances Ruane (Chair of the Abbey Theatre), Sheila Pratschke (Chair of the Arts Council) and Prof. Chris Morash (Vice-Provost of Trinity College Dublin)] and he will take up his appointment later this month.

The 7th Annual Lilly Awards Ceremony, which celebrates women of distinction in the American Theater, were presented yesterday, May 23, at the Signature Theatre (480 West 42nd St). This year's honorees included: Tony Award-winner and 2016 Tony Award nominee Jessie Mueller,Kathy Najimy, Genne Murphy, Candis Jones,Rehana Lew Mirza, the women of Waking the Feminists, Danai Gurira, Martha Plimpton, Kate Whoriskey, and Mia Katigbak.
The New Victory Theater Presents THE GIRL WHO FORGOT TO SING BADLY, 5/31-6/9

In this inventive one-man production, Louis Lovett spins a fantastical yarn about a young heroine who journeys over snowy lands and high seas to save the day and rescue an entire city. Commissioned by The Ark, written by accomplished Australian playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer (The Tragical Life of Cheeseboy, New Vic 2011) and helmed by celebrated director Lynne Parker, Theatre Lovett's The Girl who Forgot to Sing Badly is Irish storytelling with a modern twist. The Girl who Forgot to Sing Badly is presented by The New Victory Theater and will make its NY premiere at The Duke on 42nd Street from May 31 through June 9, 2013.
