Samira Nanda is a New York celebrity chef and host of the food-travel show Essence of India, airing on Gusto TV (Canada’s new Food & Lifestyle channel, gustotv.com). She spent 15 years in her early career as an editor and journalist, including stints at the Huffington Post and Reuters. She got her start in front of the camera spending three years as a VJ for Star TV (Indian entertainment network). Samira’s passion for food and cooking stems from watching three generations of women in her family cook the best Indian food, with a health conscious element.
She followed that passion by working summers at the Windsor Manor in Bangalore India, home to some of India's finest restaurants. Working behind the scenes. Samira learned skills and tricks from chefs of The Royal Afghan and the Windsor Manor Cafe and Brasserie. Essence of India will return in January 2015. Gusto TV airs on Bell TV/Fibe Ch. 619/1619. It is also available on the East and West coasts on Eastlink and TELUS Optik TV.

The Play Company (PlayCo) is pleased to announce chefs and artists scheduled for Cabaret Gourmet: The Ultra Violet Party, on Monday, April 9 at Espace in mid-town Manhattan. This year's event will be hosted by Lauren Worsham and Kyle Jarrow, and will feature a live performance by Mwenso and The Shakes. Participating chefs and restaurants will include Graffiti, Miznon, Omar's, Chef Samira Nanda Sine, Ortzi, August, Serengeti Kitchen and more.

TUCK EVERLASTING will play its final performance on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 7:30pm after playing 28 previews and 39 regular performances at Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre (235 W. 44th St.). TUCK EVERLASTING began previews March 31 and officially opened on April 26, 2016.

TUCK EVERLASTING, the new musical based on Natalie Babbitt's beloved best-selling novel of the same name, will record a cast album to be released by DMI Soundtracks and distributed by Warner-Elektra-Atlantic Corporation.TUCK EVERLASTING's cast album will be produced by Frank Filipetti, Chris Miller, and Sean Patrick Flahaven, and will be recorded and mixed by Frank Filipetti. The album will be released digitally on Friday, June 10, 2016 and in stores wherever CDs are sold on Friday, July 1, 2016.
