The program was a celebration of dance both new and old--the world premiere of Douglas Martin's Firebird choreography, no less--a revisitation of the balletic past that was taut, nimble, and modern in about the right measure.

BWW Blog: Claire van Bever - Keeping on Your Toes

When I found out that I would be joining American Repertory Ballet, the first thing my parents said to me, after 'Congratulations!', was, 'Oh, thank goodness, we won't have to pay for your pointe shoes anymore!'
