BIO

Since 2001, Sam has been involved in 100+ productions in the Midwest. With over 12 years of audio experience, Sam has mixed and designed more than 70 productions. Most recently, Sam sound designed and mixed Carrie the Musical at Circle Theatre, designed The Boatwright at the GRCT and The Secret Garden at Rockford High School. He has also sound designed for: Heritage Theatre, GVSU Opera, Mason Street Warehouse, Actor’s Theatre, Forest Hills Central H.S. and Victory Garden's Green House Theatre in Chicago. Some favorite designs include Les Miserables (GRCT), Changing Minds (GRCT), Legally Blonde (GRCT), Hairspray (GRCT), Ragtime (GVSU), Spelling Bee (MSW), Tomorrow Morning (World Debut in Chicago), and Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat (GRCT). Additionally, Sam has run sound for TEDx Grand Rapids, Laughfest, GR’s Got Talent, and The Grand Awards. He teaches students at GRCT’s Summer Repertory Theatre in sound workshops every summer. Outside the theatre, Sam manages his own sound production company Epik Productions, which offers live sound, DJ and recording services. He recently returned to GRCC where he is pursuing a degree in music.
