BWW Review: Strawshop's 9 CIRCLES Elicits Powerful Emotions on War
Sometimes you go to a show and you see what can only be described as a "Star Turn". That performance that shows just how amazing an actor is. But what do you call it when you see it over and over again? Lately I call it Conner Neddersen as, just like his previous stellar performances, his performance in Strawberry Theatre Workshop's current production of "9 Circles" shows off once again just how fine of an actor he is and how he keeps growing better and better with each role.
Theater Schmeater to Stage NW Premiere of IN ARABIA WE'D ALL BE KINGS
Theater Schmeater is pleased to announce the West Coast Premiere of Stephen Adly Guirgis' early play, In Arabia, We'd All Be Kings. The winner of the 2015 Tony (for Between Riverside and Crazy), Guirgis weaves a desperate tale of people caught in the gears of progress fueled by faceless movers and shakers. Echoing William Saroyan, Guirgis characters' lives intersect in a run-down bar fated for demolition.
BWW Reviews: NCTC's THE FLICK Drags Like a Bad RomCom
You know when you're in a store or restaurant or even a movie theater and you overhear the conversations of the workers and take that little peak into their lives? Well now there's a nearly three hour play about that, "The Flick" by Annie Baker currently performing from the folks at New Century Theatre Company. And it's only slightly more interesting than the real thing.

BWW Reviews: TEAM OF HEROES 3 at Annex Suffers Lack of Pace and Plot
The conclusion of the "Team of Heroes" Trilogy, "Team of Heroes: No More Heroes" currently playing at Annex Theatre has swooped in to save us all, but it could use some saving of its own. Yes, all of your favorite damaged superheroes and super villains are there as well as little gimmicks and tricks to make the audience squeal, but unfortunately the show slowly plods along with no direction or purpose and ultimately fizzles.
