It's a party -under the blue skies and Mediterranean sun of a Greek island - or at least an evocation of that paradise on the stage of Maine State Music Theatre in Brunswick. "It's a party and a great story, and I am so very excited to be part of it! I look forward to revisiting the ABBA music and to encouraging the audience to get up and dance and sing with us."
Cory Jeacoma is talking about the anticipation swirling around this week's opening of MSMT fourth main stage production, Mamma Mia, in which he makes his MSMT debut in the leading role of Sky. The vibrant young actor, who just four months ago was graduated from Pace University's musical theatre program, has been working steadily for some years now and is already on his way to making his name and talents known.

Bill Hanney's award winning Theatre By The Sea (TBTS) presents the beloved musical classic, WEST SIDE STORY. Shakespeare's immortal 'Romeo & Juliet' is transported to 20th century New York City, where two idealistic young lovers, with only their love in common, find themselves caught between warring street gangs and clashing cultures. WEST SIDE STORY runs from Wednesday, June 22 thru Saturday, July 16, 2016.

Broadway quadruple threat and Bistro Award winner, Robert Creighton, recently seen as the title character in the critically lauded CAGNEY at The York Theatre Company, returned to 54 Below on Tuesday, September 15th at 7pm with AN EVENING WITH ROBERT CREIGHTON. Creighton, one of the busiest actors working in the musical theater, will sing his favorite music from the early decades of the 20th Century, along with his original songs.

Since its smash opening on Broadway in 1975 A Chorus Line has come to embody in poetic terms the uphill struggles of countless artists who toil every day on stage and off in pursuit of the metier they love. The rituals of auditioning and casting calls are integral to the life of an actor or theatre director, and each year they are played out in countless theatres large and small across the country, a crucial part of the puzzle that goes into shaping a successful season.
