BIO

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Sandra Okuboyejo is a first-generation Nigerian-American actor, writer and narrator. Broadway/Tour: "Hamilton" (Cover Eliza, Angelica, Peggy). Off-Broadway: “Nollywood Dreams" (Ayamma) at MCC, Ragtime on Ellis Island (Sarah). Regional: "Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812" (Natasha) at PCLO. Tv credits: Recurring on ‘Dr.Death’ Season 2, and Guest Starring on ‘Tommy’ and ‘The Blacklist’. Film credits: leading ‘The Gag’, opposite Sheri Renee Scott, premiering at Tribeca Film Festival 2023. Her original musical "Halona & Ophelia", where she helms book, music and lyrics was named a 2023 Jonathan Larson Grant finalist and 2024 NAMT semi-finalist. Additionally an accomplished voice-over artist, featured in audiobooks and productions like Jordan Peele's "Out There Screaming”, she’s earned starred reviews from Booklist and multiple earphones awards. HAMILTON Announces Chicago Closing Date

The musical HAMILTON will conclude its more than three (3) year run in Chicago at Broadway In Chicago's CIBC Theatre (18 W. Monroe St.) on January 5, 2020, it has been announced by producer Jeffrey Seller. Chicago was the first city outside New York where HAMILTON opened; the production began performances on September 27, 2016 at what was then The PrivateBank Theatre.
