THE DANGEROUS PRECIPICE OF MEDEA Resurrects the Company's Famous No Exit Stage
Imago Theatre's mentor Jacques Lecoq, a theatre icon who influenced the world on movement in the performing arts, taught a concept called "the balance of the stage." In 1998, Jerry Mouawad, Artistic Co-Director of Imago Theatre, designed a deck suspended in a black void three feet off the stage floor that tips and sways in an abyss. It made physical and visible Lecoq's "Balance of the Stage."
Fighting Chance Productions to Present FACING EAST, 4/23-5/14
FACING EAST, based on a play by CAROL LYNN PEARSON follows an upstanding Mormon couple faced with the suicide of their gay son. When they unexpectedly meet their son's partner they must face a reality long ignored, and reconcile feelings with beliefs. After workshops in Chicago and Dallas the show had a developmental charity concert at the Lyric Theatre in London, England starring several West End artists, directed by Ryan Mooney. This world premiere is the first time the show will receive a full production, with a Canadian cast and production team, and is the 40th production for FIGHTING CHANCE PRODUCTIONS.

New Musical FACING EAST to Premiere in Vancouver
FACING EAST, a new musical based on the play of the same name by Carol Lynn Pearson, will make its official World Premier in Vancouver, BC as part of Fighting Chance Productions' 2015-2016 season. The production will run April 26-May 15, 2016.

CARRIE, the cult rock musical based on Stephen King's breakout novel will bow in Vancouver this fall at the Jericho Arts Centre. The production marks the show's Canadian regional premier, led by a cast of rising Vancouver talents. The musical features music by Michael Gore, and lyrics byDean Pitchford, who collaborated on the score for FAME. Lawrence D. Cohen supplies the show's book, after previously adapting the screenplay for the original film version of the tale (directed by Brian DePalma).
