OCHSA's Adam Levy Named 2012 John Raitt Awards for Youth Actor of the Year
The Orange County High School of the Arts (OCHSA), a nationally recognized arts school that provides bright and talented students with a creative and challenging educational environment, has announced that Music and Theatre Conservatory senior, Adam Levy, of Cypress has been named Actor of the Year in the 2012 John Raitt Awards for Youth (JRAY) presented by Fullerton Civic Light Opera.
CAP21 Announces 'SOS: Songs On Six' Benefit Concert March 23
THE THEATRE COMPANY @ CAP21 presents a benefit concert of new songs from new musicals. The concert will take place Monday, March 23rd at 7:30pm at CAP21 located on the 6th Floor of 18 West 18th Street, NYC. Tickets are $30 and include a post-show wine reception with the writers and performers. The evening is being directed by Ryan Mekenian with musical direction by J. Oconer Navarro. Proceeds will benefit the New Works program at CAP21.

The SPOTLIGHT Cabaret series, which benefits the Society of Singers Chapter East, is produced by Ryan Scott Oliver and has been presented monthly at the Beechman since January. Past guests have included I Love You Because writers Ryan Cunningham and Josh Salzman, Kleban winner Joe Iconis, Katrina Rose Dideriksen, Sally Wilfert, Michael Winther, and more.

Schwartz & ASCAP Develop New Musicals with PCLO & Mellon
Pittsburgh CLO and Carnegie Mellon School of Drama are proud to announce a new partnership with The ASCAP Foundation and composer/lyricist and Carnegie Mellon alumnus Stephen Schwartz to develop new musicals as part of the Pittsburgh CLO/Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama New Works Program. The ASCAP Foundation and Mr. Schwartz will select musicals for this initiative from participants in the prestigious ASCAP Foundation/Disney Musical Theatre Workshop.
Beechman to Present Evening of Short Musicals in April
The Laurie Beechman Theatre has announced three special performances in April, featuring premiere performances of three brand new short musicals. On Fridays, April 6, 13 & 20 at 7pm, three new pieces by students of NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing program will debut upon the theatre's stage.
