Born and raised in San Francisco, Ryan is a singer, songwriter, actor, and dancer. He has been studying voice since he was 8, and was introduced to theatre through the San Francisco Arts Education Project when he was 10. He continues to work with them as a performer and teacher. An alumnus of the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts, Ryan studied musical theatre at the only public arts high school in San Francisco. Some of his favorite roles to date include Tony (West Side Story), Cliff (Cabaret), The Baker (Into the Woods), Jason (Rabbit Hole), Finch (Newsies), and his favorite, Cheese Grater (Beauty and the Beast). As well as having a passion for acting and singing, Ryan is also a published songwriter. In 2015 he released his first album of original songs, 'Right By My Side', and in 2018 he released his second album, ‘Young Heart’ (both available on iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify). He has created and performed two original solo cabaret shows which debuted at the Society Cabaret in San Francisco. He lists some of his musical influences as Sara Bareilles, Billy Joel, Carole King, Ben Platt, Paul McCartney, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Adele. He is a proud 2-time winner of the National YoungArts Foundation. He currently lives in New York City and is a graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School.
