BIO

Rusty Koenig began playing with the Chicago rock band "Footlight Frenzy" in 2007. The Band highlighted it's existence by headlining Chicago's very own "Metro" in 2011. Since then, he's continued his solo act as well as pursuing the world of musical theatre. His acting debut in 2011 consisted of him portraying Al Deluca in "A Chorus Line" followed by Roger Davis in Jonathon Larson's Rock Opera "Rent", where he accompanied himself on guitar for numerous songs. After working with Circle Theatre, he spent the summer of 2012 starring in Paramount Theatre's "Route 66", where he was able to sing, dance, as well as play a variety of instruments (guitar, harmonica, piano, trumpet, and even the hammered dulcimer). He believes that nothing beats a good Rock Opera!
