Photo Flash: First Look at Ian Gelder and Will Austin in GODS AND MONSTERS at Southwark Playhouse
Ian Gelder - Kevan Lannister in the epic TV drama series Game of Thrones - is to play Frankenstein director James Whale and Will Austin is gardener Clayton Boone, who becomes the object of Whale's obsession, in the world premiere of Gods and Monsters at Southwark Playhouse. Gods and Monsters, directed by Russell Labey, produced by Danielle Tarento, will receive its world premiere in a five-week season now through Saturday 7 March. Press night is 10 February. Producer Danielle Tarento to Present World Premiere of GODS AND MONSTERS at Southwark Playhouse
With her production of DOGFIGHT nominated Best Musical in the recent Evening Standard Awards (her leading actress, Laura Jane Matthewman won Best Emerging Talent), and with rehearsals underway for the European premiere of Jerry Herman's 1979 Broadway musical, The Grand Tour, which opens at the Finborough Theatre on January 1, producer Danielle Tarento today announces the world premiere of GODS AND MONSTERS.
THE RAGGED CHILD, THE HIRED MAN and BRASS Make Up 2014 Season at National Youth Music Theatre
National Youth Music Theatre will present an exciting season of work for summer 2014, including a new commission to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War. The company of over 150 actors, musicians, creative and backstage teams aged between 11 and 23 will stage The Ragged Child at the Rose Theatre, Kingston (23 - 27 July), The Hired Man at the St. James Theatre, London (13 - 16 August) and Brass at the City Varieties Music Hall, Leeds (20 - 23 August).
THIRD FLOOR To Receive Premiere At Trafalgar Studios, From Oct 13
Jason Hall's new play THIRD FLOOR will receive its European premiere at Trafalgar Studios 2 on Thursday 13 October, previewing from 11 October, for a limited season ending on 5 November. This new thriller, a hilarious and unsettling look at urban living today, will be directed by Russell Labey and will star Craig Gazey and Emily Head.
London's WOLFBOY Closes 31 July
Award-winning ‘Hollyoaks' star Emma Rigby and ‘Avenue Q' star Daniel?Boys are now confirmed to complete the cast for the London premiere of the psycho-sexual musical thriller, Wolfboy, which premieres at Trafalgar Studios 2 on Tuesday 6 July and runs to Saturday 31 July.
