Peninsula Players Theatre, America's oldest professional resident summer theater and Door County's theatrical icon, is proud to announce it has received a $15,000 award from The Shubert Foundation. The Shubert Foundation awarded a record total of $26.8 million to 533 not-for-profit performing arts organizations across the United States. The Shubert Foundation provides grants only to organizations that have established artistic and administrative track records, as well as a pattern of fiscal responsibility.
LORD ARTHUR SAVILE'S CRIME Opens 8/16 at Peninsula Players Theatre
Lord Arthur, a pillar of Victorian society, is about to marry the lovely Sybil Merton, his childhood sweetheart, and is deliriously happy at the start of Peninsula Players Theatre's forthcoming comedy, "Lord Arthur Savile's Crime," by Constance Cox, based on a story by Oscar Wilde. Laughter will fill the theater-in-a-garden August 16 through September 3 while Lord Arthur takes the stage with his muddled murder attempts.
ONE World Sports Renews Agreement for Yomiuri Giants Baseball Coverage
ONE World Sports, America's Network for Global Sports, announced today that it has extended its programming agreement with the Nippon Television Network Corporation for Yomiuri Giants baseball in 2015. The network will carry, live, all 71 of the team's home games, all but three of them exclusively in the United States, beginning with the March 27 home opener. The agreement also provides for rights to live stream the games and showcase video highlights on the network's Watch ONE World Sports app.
