BWW Review: Strong Acting Powers BLUE SURGE
Paul Rush sure-handedly directs his talented Sixty-six Theater Co. cast at a languid, very laid-back pacing, most appropriate for the Wisconsin town that playwright Rebecca Gilman set BLUE SURGE in. Eddie Alfano charismatically and most effectively heads the ensemble as Curt the constantly, down-on-himself cop trying to make lieutenant.
TheatreWorks To Open STAGE KISS On December 8
On Friday, December 8, TheatreWorks New Milford will premiere Sarah's Ruhl's acclaimed comedy Stage Kiss. The curtain rises at 8:00 p.m. on a five-week run. Stage Kiss is a highly theatrical, not-so-romantic comedy about two actors with a history who are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama. They quickly lose touch with reality as the story onstage follows them offstage. This is a charming tale about what happens when lovers share a stage kiss or when actors share a real one.
