ROCKY II Leads the Reel 13 Lineup in June as Broadway Production of ROCKY Continues Its Run
Earlier this year the Broadway musical adaptation of the original 1976 Academy Award-winning film Rocky (which aired on Reel 13in February), made its debut on The Great White Way. The 1979 sequel Rocky II picks up where the first film (and the musical) leave off, with Sylvester Stallone reprising his iconic role as underdog fighter Rocky Balboa, the small-time boxer who gets a rare chance to fight the heavy-weight champion.
NaTasha Yvette Williams, Justin Patterson and More Set for THE SUGAR HILL SISTERS at NYMF, 7/20 & 22
The New York Musical Theatre Festival Developmental Reading Series presents The Sugar Hill Sisters, a new musical with book and lyrics by the Lambda and Stonewall Award-winning Bil Wright and music by Joseph-Vernon Banks (Girlfriends!). The reading will be directed by Jade King Carroll (Assoc. director of Broadway's current revival of A Streetcar Named Desire) with music direction by GLAAD Award nominee Dionne McClain-Freeney Kasey Ostopchuck (4000 Miles) will be stage managing.
Film Society of Lincoln Center to Honor Catherine Deneuve, 4/2
Catherine Deneuve will receive the Film Society of Lincoln Center's 39th Chaplin Award on Monday, April 2, 2012 in New York City. The annual gala is the Film Society's largest annual fundraiser, benefiting the ongoing programs of the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

Burning Coal is excited to premier four plays by North Carolina students in a professional production this June. The plays, See You Soon by Morgan Richardson (12th Grade, Enloe), The Hangman's Diary by Jackson Bloom (12th grade, Enloe), Fight for Your Honor by Stuart Rose (11th grade, home schooled), and The Love in this Room by Jarren Moore (8th grade, Ligon) were selected from submissions from across Wake and surrounding counties, and will be performed together by members of Burning Coal Theatre Company.

Compagnie Philippe Saire Presents LONESOME COWBOY, Closes 1/9
Freud famously asked: 'What do women want?' The question has never been satisfactorily answered. However, Swiss choreographer Philippe Saire tackles the question of what men want in his emotionally charged, hour-long dance, 'Lonesome Cowboy,' which received its American premiere at The Joyce Theater and will close on January 9, 2011.
