Segerstrom Center for the Arts proudly presents internationally renowned flamenco dancer Juan Manuel Fernandez Montoya “Farruquito” for one night only on November 6, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Heir to one of the most revered Gypsy flamenco dynasties in Spain, Farruquito returns to the Center with his brand new show Farruquito Flamenco as part of its North American Tour. In this new production, Farruquito has blended his own original music and choreography and expanded his company with additional musicians and dancers to honor the historic lineage of flamenco. Renowned as 'one of the greatest flamenco dancers of this new century' (The New York Times), Farruquito makes his Segerstrom Center debut on Thursday, September 29 in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall with his latest show, Improvisao, an intimate dance program that showcases his incomparable talent for daring improvisation. It is a celebration of flamenco performed in the most traditional manner where the dancer and the musicians return to flamenco's visceral origins.

After an absence from the American stage of over ten years, 31-year old flamenco virtuoso Juan Manuel Fernandez Montoya, better known as 'Farruquito,' is finally returning to New York City for a special two-night run of his latest project, 'Improvisao.' World Music Institute is thrilled to present two performances in New York City: Saturday, June 21 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 22 at 7:00 p.m at NYU's Skirball Center.
