Orr will retire as artistic director in June 2020.
The Royal Ballet Will Celebrate The Life Of Annette Page In The Linbury Theatre
This March, The Royal Ballet, in association with The Linbury Trust and the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, presents a celebration of the life of Annette Page in the Linbury Theatre. Featuring interviews, archive films and dancers of The Royal Ballet performing a programme of divertissements, this celebration of Page's life will also include the world premiere of a pas de deux created by choreographer Andrew McNicol, commissioned by The Linbury Trust and performed by Royal Ballet Soloists Olivia Cowley and Nicol Edmonds.
Hungarian National Ballet Makes American Debut At Koch Theater This November
Between 1884, when it was formed as part of the newly-established Hungarian State Opera House, and November, 2018 when it makes its American debut at the David H. Koch Theater, the Hungarian National Ballet will have performed in almost every cultural capital and on every continent in the world, except North America.
Paola Hartley, Karl Condon And Ilya Kozadayev and More Will Be On Faculty For Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive
ZHONG-JING FANG, soloist of American Ballet Theatre, PAOLA HARTLEY, former principal dancer of Ballet Arizona, KARL CONDON, former principal dancer of the Boston Ballet, and ILYA KOZADAYEV, former soloist of the Houston Ballet will be on the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive to be held in Shreveport, Louisiana. Zhong-Jing Fang and Paola Hartley will be on the faculty from July 23-27, 2018, and Karl Condon and Ilya Kozadayev will be on the faculty from July 30-August 3, 2018.
