Vinny Peculiar to Release 'How I Learned to Love the Freaks' Album in September
The record is inspired by Hippy culture, the summer of love and the socio-political awakenings of the late 1960s. In part it’s tribute to an emerging free-thinking youth culture, the risks they took, the values they espoused, the sacrifices they made, with the failings and ultimate implosion culminating in “Death of the Counterculture”.

Assembly Festival Extends its Wings for Fringe 2023
Assembly Festival has today (Wednesday 03 May) announced a further 80 shows for its Fringe 2023 programme. This year, the festival is extending its wings across Edinburgh, beyond its festival hubs at Assembly George Square and Assembly Rooms to two new venues, with a co-curated programme at Assembly @ Dance Base and a residency at Murrayfield Ice Rink.
Everyman, Liverpool To Host CHERRY JEZEBEL World Premiere
Jonathan Larkin's Cherry Jezebel will make its full stage debut at the Everyman from 8-26 March 2022, following the production's sold out run of rehearsed readings in 2021. A frank and hilarious piece of new writing from regular Hollyoaks writer and long-time Everyman collaborator, the production is directed by James Baker (Jerry Springer – The Opera, YANK! The Musical).
Chester Literature Festival Announces 2021 Programme

SKY IN THE PIE Comes to OSO Arts Centre and VAULT Festival
The poetry of national treasure Roger McGough will be brought to life in the exciting new production, Sky in the Pie, from Feathers of Daedalus. This fantastical circus and puppetry spectacular will also feature new poems by McGough, premiering across two London venues in 2020.
