Usdan Opens Student Exhibit in NYC Today
The work of 23 visual arts students from Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the nationally renowned summer arts day camp, will be exhibited today, May 7, through May 25 at the 7th floor gallery of the UJA-Federation at 130 East 59th Street (between Park-Lexington Avenues). The show, titled On Hope and Humankind, will feature painting, drawing, sculpture and multi-media work. It is the third and final exhibit in the largest series of off-site exhibits ever shown by the Long Island center, which for several years has displayed the work of its visual arts students on Long Island and New York City. The artists to be displayed were ages 10-18 when the works were created during the 2014 (the information included below are their current ages) season.

Usdan to Display NYC Student Art Exhibits This Spring
Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the nationally renowned summer arts day camp, will present three different free student art exhibits in Manhattan this spring, at the lobby gallery at 430 Park Avenue (between 55th-56th Streets) during March and April, and in May at the 7th floor gallery of the UJA-Federation at 130 East 59th Street (between Park-Lexington Avenues).
Photo Flash: Usdan Work HOPE Wins First Prize at Holocaust Museum
'Hope,' a multi-panelled artwork created by three classes of visual art students at Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, was awarded a First Prize in the 2014 student art competition at the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center in Glen Cove, Long Island. The work was designed and built during the summer of 2013 at the renowned summer arts day camp, which is also an agency of the UJA-Federation of New York. It was conceived as a visual metaphor for the chronology of events that precipitated the Holocaust and its aftermath. An Opening Reception will take place tonight, March 4 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A new show titled Duality, paintings and mixed-media works by students of Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts' Portfolio Preparation Track program will be exhibited today, February 12- March 8, 2013 at New York City's Lobby Gallery, on the ground floor of 430 Park Avenue in Manhattan. Previous pieces by students from the renowned Long Island summer arts day camp have been presented at major public venues in New York City and on Long Island. The exhibit is free and open daily to the public 9 AM to 5 PM.

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the renowned Long Island summer arts camp whose alumni include Natalie Portman and Mariah Carey, announces that its currently running "First Class," the inaugural show of works by students of Usdan's 2011 Portfolio Preparation Track being presented at the Atrium at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, has been extended through March 27. It was originally supposed to close March 22.
