Forced Entertainment To Present Work Across The UK In 2019
Forced Entertainment has today announced the UK premiere of Out Of Order at Southbank Centre, where they are an Associate Company, in October, before visiting HOME Manchester and ACCA in Brighton. To Move In Time, a Tim Etchells and Forced Entertainment production, in collaboration with performer Tyrone Huggins (Black Men Walking, Opening Skinner's Box), will play at Summerhall in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer.
Virginia Repertory Theatre Presents SISTER ACT
Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of Sister Act on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the November Theatre/Arenstein Stage, 114 West Broad Street. The show will run through Sunday, January 6, 2019. Previews will be on Wednesday, November 14 and Thursday, November 15, 2018. With music by Alan Menken, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner, lyrics by Glenn Slater and additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane, this uplifting musical comedy is based on the hit 1992 movie starring Whoopi Goldberg.
Forced Entertainment to Present OUT OF ORDER and THAT NIGHT FOLLOWS DAY
Forced Entertainment has today announced a brand-new production, Out of Order, premiering in Frankfurt in April this year. Also today it has been announced that the company are to become a Southbank Centre Associate Company and return to the venue after more than a decade, having last performed there in 2007 with And On The Thousandth Night as part of SPILL Festival, and with seminal piece Bloody Mess at Jarvis Cocker's Meltdown. In December 2018 they will present their first work as an associate company, a new version of Artistic Director Tim Etchells' That Night Follows Day. As a new Southbank Centre associate company, Forced Entertainment will work with the multi arts organisation to research, develop and premiere work.
Glasgow-Based Artist Nic Green Wins the Forced Entertainment Award
Forced Entertainment announces their new award that will recognise one artist (or company) a year over the next four years. The award comprises £10,000 closely linked to a substantial package of mentoring and subsidiary support tailored each time to the needs and situation of the selected artist or group.
Forced Entertainment Receives The International Ibsen Award
Sheffield based theatre company Forced Entertainment are to become the first ever UK based recipients of one of theatre's most prestigious awards it was today announced. The International Ibsen Award, honouring extraordinary contribution to art and culture, is only given every two years by the Norwegian government on Henrik Ibsen's birthday. The prize is 2.5 million Norwegian Kroner, equivalent to around £200,000. The first ever group to win the prize, Forced Entertainment join a distinguished list of previous winners including Peter Handke, Heiner Goebbels, Jon Fosse, Ariane Mnouchkine and Peter Brook. The award ceremony will take place during the International Ibsen Festival at the National Theatre in Oslo in September where Forced Entertainment will showcase a selection of their groundbreaking work.

Eric Idle's Spamalot elevated to cult classic status when King Arthur and his haphazard knights first stormed the Broadway stage in 2005, earning Spamalot the Tony Award for Best Musical and garnering 14 other Tony nominations. The Ephrata Performing Arts Center will present this madcap comedy at EPAC's Sheridan Bigler Theater. The production opens on April 30, 2015, and runs through May 16, 2015.
