Yonder Window Theatre Company, and Executive Producer Lisa Dozier are currently presenting the World premiere of Grant MacDermott’s play JASPER off-Broadway, directed by Katie McHugh, which opened off-Broadway at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center on Wednesday, September 14. BWW Review: Wave Productions' GOD STEELING Tackles Race and Culture in '80s NYC
GOD STEELING was a super interesting play. Couching this relationship story within the social and political climate of the early 1980s is not something that I frankly see enough. How race, social standing and culture plays into the lives of these union 'brothers' is a bottomless pool of material. Overall, I would like to have seen a bit more subtlety in the performances, but I do have to say that James Fenton's set is worth the price of admission.

Joseph Gallo's male-bonding play about three friends from New Jersey is a hilarious insight in the typical male ego as it relates to women, sports, beer.... and of course, male friendship. The pact they make is to "kidnap" and prevent the third friend from making poor decisions, hence the "Two-Man Kidnapping Rule."
