Bandsintown Announces Programming Lineup for the Week Of July 6
On Wednesday, the Bandsintown LIVE streaming channel celebrates “Inner World,” the first album by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama released on July 6th, his 85th Birthday. The program features exclusive interviews with Tencho Gyatso, the niece of the Dalai Lama and director of Tibetan Empowerment & Chinese Engagement Programs for the International Campaign, and Junelle Groves, the album's executive producer. There will be music and seven meditations from the album with comforting themes like Compassion, Courage, Humanity, and Wisdom.

Based on the novel by Harold Bell Wright, SHEPHERD THE MUSICAL is directed by Samantha Saltzman (Assistant Resident Director - Matilda on Broadway, Resident Director, Matilda 1st National Tour), withbook and lyrics by Hayden Head, music and musical direction by Stan Beard (Proud American), and casting by Michael Cassara. THE WAY THE MOUNTAIN MOVED Opens July 14
The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will open the world premiere of Idris Goodwin's The Way the Mountain Moved, directed by May Adrales, on July 14 in the Thomas Theatre. Preview performances are July 10, 12 and 13, and the play runs through Oct. 28, 2018.
Oregon Shakespeare Festival 2018 Season Opens 2/23
The Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival will launch its 83nd year with preview performances beginning on February 16. The 2018 season officially kicks off Friday night, February 23, in the Angus Bowmer Theatre with Shakespeare's Othello (director, Bill Rauch). On Saturday afternoon, Shakespeare's Henry V (director, Rosa Joshi) opens in the Thomas Theatre, and the West Coast premiere of Kate Hamill's adaptation of Jane Austen's novel Sense and Sensibility (director, Hana S. Sharif) opens that evening in the Angus Bowmer Theatre. On Sunday afternoon, Karen Zacarias's Destiny of Desire (director, Jose Luis Valenzuela) will be staged in the Angus Bowmer Theatre.

HENRY IV, PART TWO Opens in Thomas Theatre 7/8
OSF's journey through Shakespeare's history tetralogy marches on with the second part of Henry IV joining the repertory, with previews beginning July 4. Once again, the Festival's intimate Thomas Theatre will play host to the political intrigue of early 15th-century England.
TIMON OF ATHENS Opens July 31 at Oregon Shakespeare Festival
The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will open William Shakespeare's Timon of Athens, directed by Amanda Dehnert, on July 31 at 1:30 p.m. in the Angus Bowmer Theatre. Preview performances are offered July 28 and 29. This will be only the fourth time that OSF has presented Timon of Athens in its 81-year history, the last time being in 1997. This also marks OSF's fourth completion of Shakespeare's canon since 1935.
