You can always count on the Seacoast Repertory Theatre to stage productions that are out of the mainstream, out of the ordinary, and that challenge audiences in new ways. This is very apparent is its current production of Nick Dear's adaptation of Mary Shelley's “Frankenstein.” It is a dark and foreboding telling of the Frankenstein legend through the eyes of the creature, rather than from the creator, Victor Frankenstein. Asolo Rep proudly presents its seventh annual documentary theatre project: FACES OF CHANGE. FACES OF CHANGE collects stories, personal experiences, and interviews from community members of diverse backgrounds, which are assembled in an original script. The project culminates in free public readings followed by post-show discussions. Asolo Rep will host two public readings in the Cook Theatre on April 7 and 8 at 7pm. There will also be additional public readings in the community.
Riverside Symphony to Hold Concert Featuring Puppetry

Led by conductor George Rothman, Riverside Symphony principal players will join Robert Rogers Puppets and actress Eleanor Ruth at Merkin Concert Hall on Sunday afternoon, February 25 at 3:00PM. In a program sure to engage children (ages nine and up) and adults, Camille Saint-Sa ns's disarming Carnival of the Animals and Igor Stravinsky's urbane chamber masterpiece, l'Histoire du soldat, will both be transformed through the magical melding of virtuoso musicianship and exquisite puppetry. Since 1980, Rogers' internationally acclaimed troupe has delighted audiences of all ages.
