Florida Repertory Theatre Reveals Details For 2023 PlayLab Festival
Florida Repertory Theatre has announced casts, directors, and stage managers for its 2023 PlayLab Festival, and the line-up includes ensemble members, returning guest artists, alongside many making their Florida Rep debuts, joining five playwrights from New York, Atlanta, and around the country.

Florida Repertory Theatre's production of “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde is now extended through March 11th in the ArtStage Studio Theatre. With the preview, opening weekend, and many matinee performances selling out in advance, the run extension will provide eight more opportunities for community members to experience the classic comedy.
Memphis Symphony Orchestra Announces $35 Million Campaign
Last Saturday, the Memphis Symphony Orchestra (MSO) announced an ambitious drive to properly capitalize the organization, as well as the first named chair in decades. A current matching fund of $10 Million will increase the impact of donations to the campaign, dollar for dollar, and to encourage participation in the overall $35 Million campaign. Including the potential matched gifts, $25 Million has been raised to date. The early success of the campaign also means that 100% of future gifts can go directly to the endowment.
New Partnership Between NATS And Cincinnati Song Initiative Announced
The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and Cincinnati Song Initiative (CSI) have announced a new strategic partnership revolving around the annual NATS Art Song Composition Award. Each year's winning composer will have their work programmed on a future CSI concert as part of its Americana series, which presents new American songs alongside those of our country's greatest composers of past eras. This partnership will help fulfill the missions of both organizations through the promotion of new American art song.

WWII Medal of Honor Recipient to Flip Coin at Super Bowl LII
World War II Veteran, Hershel 'Woody' Williams, the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from the Pacific theater during WWII, and co-founder of the Hershel 'Woody' Williams Medal of Honor Foundation, is gearing up to toss the coin before the kickoff of Super Bowl LII this Sunday. (March 23, 2015) - For the conclusion of the 2014-2015 season, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and Music Director Marin Alsop lead the BSO premiere of Leonard Bernstein's comedic operetta Candide tonight, June 11 at the Music Center at Strathmore, and June 12 through June 14 at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The BSO announced today that the semi-staged production of Candide will be directed by Garnett Bruce and features an all-star cast including Peter Sagal, the host of NPR's weekly current events quiz show "Wait Wait…Don't Tell Me," and Judy Kaye, Tony Award-winning star of The Phantom of the Opera. Rounding out the cast are Keith Jameson, Lauren Snouffer, Joshua Hopkins, Mark Diamond, Marie Lenormand, Stephanie Sadownik, Curtis Bannister, Patrick Cook, Andrew McLaughlin, Melissa Wimbish and Lewis Shaw.
