Having spent over a decade conducting with The Cleveland Orchestra Choruses, among a variety of musical pursuits, Singer brings a wealth of experience, creativity and passion for choral music to his new role with MCP.

The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (MCP) has announced that Matthew Mehaffey, the choir's Robert Page Music Director, will be leaving at the end of the 2022-'23 season. During his seven seasons with the choir, Mehaffey expanded its reach through compelling storytelling, unconventional collaborations and impactful community partnerships.

In celebration of the 2020 Emmy season, The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) has extended ASCAP Presents SPF (Summer Performance Festival), its summer festival-inspired performance playlist series, for a special Emmys-themed edition. Featuring ASCAP members Ingrid Michaelson, Siddhartha Khosla and David Dabbon, the August 27 lineup will close out the summer programming with performances of their nominated works.

In February 2020, audiences will have the opportunity to experience the timeless story in a powerful new way, when the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (MCP) presents Satan's Fall, composed by Stewart Copeland, former rock drummer and co-founder of the legendary post-punk band The Police.

On May 18 and 19, the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (MCP) will celebrate her in its lively, upcoming concert titled Victoria's Secret: A Life in Music. Audiences will experience some of the greatest musical pieces of the Victorian era as two actors lead them through episodes of the queen's life.
Mendelssohn Choir Of Pittsburgh Presents 'Let My People Go!'
In February 2019, the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (MCP) invites audiences to celebrate Black History Month with the Pittsburgh premiere of American composer Donald McCullough's "Let My People Go! A Spiritual Journey Along the Underground Railroad." This concert of African American spirituals is presented in collaboration with Ebenezer Baptist Church, where the concert will take place on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at 7:30 p.m.
