BIO
Robert Monaco is a playwright, scenic designer, and theater instructor. As a set designer his work has been seen in numerous NYC and regional showcase productions. As an associate designer and craftsperson Robert has been part of many Broadway shows. Currently he is the resident set designer & technical director for the Theater Program at Kingsborough Community College; teaching carpentry, scene painting, properties and all of the related arts.

BBTF will be the first theatre festival to open again live at Theatre Row, 410 42nd St. NYC NY September 6 through October 3, 2021. COVID-19 compliant, BBTF looks forward to safely sharing the work of their originally scheduled 2020 Season playwrights, with five additional playwrights, to create the BBTF 2021 Season.

SINCE AFRICA, a new play by Mia McCullough about a Lost Boy of Sudan-- both lost in his native land and lost as he attempts to adjust to his new home in America - will be given its NY premiere following successful productions at San Diego's Old Globe, Philadelphia's InterAct, and Chicago Dramatists theatres with performances, starting February 20 and an official press opening on February 23 in a production by New York's Red Fern Theatre Company at The Theater at the 14th Street Y (344 E. 14 St. between 1st and 2nd Ave. in NYC).
