Bob Maroff (January 22, 1934 – March 14, 1991) was an American character actor noted for his work on screen, television and stage. He made his Broadway debut with a chilling portrayal of Mr. Nett, the sadistic prison guard, in Miguel Pinero's Short Eyes, winner of the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award. Maroff reprised the role in the 1977 film adaptation starring Bruce Davison. His film credits include memorable scenes in Taxi Driver (1976), Annie Hall (1977), I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978), Stardust Memories (1980) and Racing With the Moon (1984). Maroff appeared in numerous TV series during the 1980s, including Hill Street Blues, Cagney & Lacey and The Equalizer.
