Kristin Chenoweth Will Perform At Ridgefield Playhouse's Fall Gala

Enjoy A Night Of Broadway Classics, Standards And Pop Hits With Kristin Chenoweth At The Ridgefield Playhouse

Don't miss this night of Broadway classics, standards and pop hits when Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth takes the stage at The Ridgefield Playhouse's Fall Gala on Saturday, September 28 at 8pm. Chenoweth's career spans film, television, voiceover and stage. She received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in a?oePushing Daisies,a?? won a Tony Award for You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and was also nominated for her original role of Glinda the Good Witch in the Broadway smash-hit Wicked. Chenoweth will make her Playhouse debut the day after her new album, For the Girls, is scheduled for release. The Gala begins at 5:30pm in Yanity Gymm, which will be transformed into a beautiful party space, with dinner, open bar and silent auction (Gala ticket holders only) and continues in the theater with a live auction and Kristin Chenoweth performance at 8pm. This event is part of Northern Trust Broadway & Cabaret Series. Media partner for this event is WEBE 108.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of André Bishop, Producing Artistic Director) has announced the casting of a succession of Kings to star this spring in its Tony Award-winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I, directed by Bartlett Sher, at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Hoon Lee, who is currently starring as the King of Siam, will play his final performance in the role on Sunday, February 28.
THE KING AND I to Offer Broadway's Only New Year's Eve Performance

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Lincoln Center Theater's Tony Award winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I will be the only Broadway production performing on New Year's Eve - Thursday, December 31, at 7:00 pm. In honor of the holiday, Lincoln Center Theater will offer complimentary glasses of Champaign to patrons prior to the performance that evening.
THE KING AND I's Broadway Run Now Open-Ended; National Tour to Launch in 2016!

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Producing Artistic Director,  Andre Bishop) has extended the run of its critically acclaimed production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's THE KING AND I, directed by Bartlett Sher, indefinitely at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).  In addition, the Ambassador Theatre Group and NETworks Presentations LLC will launch a national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production, which was recently nominated for 9 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical, in November 2016 in Providence, RI.   The National Tour will play multi-week and single week engagements throughout the 2016-17 touring season and beyond. Casting and additional engagements for the tour will be announced at a future date.
